In March and October, All Saints’ donates food products and other supplies to the Bear Necessities Pantry at Shawnee State University, Portsmouth. Research continually shows increasing hunger and food insecurity among college students across the country. Sadly, many students at SSU reflect this trend, making this ministry an essential source of support and empowerment for students unable to afford meals and supplies. Any Shawnee State student with a valid SSU ID is eligible to receive non-perishable food goods and supplies by visiting the pantry in the Morris University Center.
Your donations make this powerful effort possible. Recommended donations during the months of March and October include toilet paper, paper towels, peanut butter, snack/meal/protein/candy bars, and blank notebooks (spiral bound or composition). Please, no canned food or ramen noodles. Place donations in the collection box in the rear of the nave. If you have questions, please talk to Anna Settle at church.
